This lesson connects the Lord's Prayer to the creation of people. By the end of the lesson, disciples should be able to answer the question "Where is God's Kingdom?"
Knowing more about your disciples will help you to focus your instruction on the most relevant portions of text and practice in a way that won't hinder their development with too much prescription. This book is a relatively short read with a lot of useful insights. Reading it prior to teaching the course is highly recommended as is referring to the book throughout instruction.
Disciples will be creating a drawing of themselves, so some skin-toned crayons might be a good idea, as well as a variety pack of other colors.
The take home packet is a small coloring booklet for early readers. It's designed to familiarize disciples with all that they'd see in an Anglican church, but it can be easily adapted to most Protestant churches. Just print the pages that apply to your church and exclude the pages that don't. If your disciples will be going from class straight to a long church service, this might make a great Busy Bag activity.Â
